ST. PAUL, Minn. - The University of Dubuque men's tennis team won on Saturday 5-4 over the University of Northwestern St. Paul. The win marked the Spartans second victory in the past three meets.
The Spartans lost all three doubles matches, but rallied back to capture five out of six individual to claim the win on the road. At #1 singles
Milan Zivkovi won 6-0, 6-0.
Stefan Zrnic captured #2 singles in an exciting tie break. He lost the first set 5-7, won the second 6-1, and the two battled in the tie break until
Stefan Zrnic won 12-10.
Ryan Kiddle lost at #3 singles 5-7, 1-6.
Josh Husemann won #4 singles 2-6, 6-0, and won tie break 10-6.
Zach Norman won #5 singles 6-3, 6-4.
Dawson Freese won #6 singles 6-1, 6-3.
Next week the Spartans return to American Rivers Conference action when they travel to play at Wartburg College on April 5 at 3:30 p.m. and at Luther College on April 9 at 10 a.m.and will also play Carleton College in Decorah, Iowa ta 3 p.m.
