Women's Track and Field Tied for 15th Place Finish at 2022 NCAA Indoor Championships

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The University of Dubuque women's track and field team finished the 2022 NCAA Division III Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships tied for 15th in the nation with 13 points.

The Spartans competed with three individuals competing in two events on the final day of the indoor track and field season. After an incredible showing on Friday in the women's weight throw, Kaitlyn Wilder secured her first national championship by with a toss of 19.28 meters. She struggled on Saturday in the shot put and was unable to record an official throw as she fouled in all three attempts. Caroline Ferguson earned All-American honors in the weight throw with her sixth place finish. finished the shot put with a ninth place finish with a toss of 13.55 meters. Aaliyah Collier competed in the high jump and tied for 16th place after clearing 1.56 meters.

The women's track and field team will take about a month hiatus from competition as they prepare for the upcoming outdoor season which will begin Saturday, April 2 when they travel to participate in the Cornell College Invite in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
