Women's Track & Field Place Third at A-R-C Indoor Track Championships

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's track & field team lost their opening day lead in day two of the American Rivers Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships and would place third in the team standings. 

The second day of action got started with the women's weight throw where Kaitlyn Wilder and Caroline Ferguson took 1st and 2nd respectively with almost identical throws of 17.58 meters and 17.48 meters to earn all-conference honors. Aaliyah Collier found herself just short in the women's high jump title with a 2nd place all-conference leap of 1.67 meters. She had an exceptional weekend by also placing runner-up in the women's indoor pentathlon with 3291 points.

The men's track and field team will head to Waverly, Iowa for the Wartburg College NCAA Qualifier meet taking place next weekend. This will be the last chance for the Spartans to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships.
