Spartans Men's Soccer Ends in a Tie After Two OT's

Box Score MILWAUKEE, Wis. - After 110 minutes of soccer, the University of Dubuque men's soccer team would end the contest against MSOE in a hard fought 2-2 tie. UD fell behind early after giving up a goal 17 minutes into the game, but responded with a goal by Eloi Niyibizi just two minutes later. UD would capture their first lead about :30 seconds later again by a goal by Eloi Niyibizi off an assist by Joel Skog-Johansson. The hosts would knot the match just prior to halftime at 2-2 off a penalty kick.

Seventeen Spartans saw action with Christoffer Rastock collecting the tie after seeing six shots on goal. The Spartans ended the game with 18 shots and 12 on goal. Niyibizi and teammate Gloire Luwara would both finish with three shots. In overtime, UD held the edge in shots 3-1 and MSOE would have the only corner kick on OT.
