Men's Soccer Reign Over Beavers in 6-0 Victory

STORM LAKE, Iowa – The University of Dubuque men's soccer team was on the road Saturday as they continued their quest to remain unbeaten in conference play against Buena Vista University Beavers. The Spartans would spread the ball around tonight as six different Spartans recorded a goal to take the 6-0 victory and remain unbeaten in A-R-C action.

Lucas Von Braun would score the Spartans first goal of the night in the 18th minute of action of the first half. Axel Aaman and Draek Littler would each add a goal to give the Spartans a 3-0 lead at the halftime break. The Spartans would continue the same in the second half as Gloire Luwara, Alessandro Corazzina, and Zach Elias would each add a goal to give the Spartans control of the game with a 6-0 lead. With the comfortable lead the Spartans would rest their starters and give them a well-deserved rest. The score would remain the same throughout the rest of the second half and the Spartans claimed this one 6-0.

The Spartans would record 21 shots tonight outshooting the Beavers who only recorded 3 shots. The Spartans were able to kick five corners tonight as well. Matt Marchiori played all 90 minutes tonight in goal to get the win in which he recorded three saves.

Your Spartans return to Oyen Field on Wednesday, October 20 at 5:00 p.m. for a highly anticipated matchup with the Luther College Norse who also come into the match-up undefeated in A-R-C competition as well.
