DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's tennis team played host to the Saint Ambrose University Fighting Bees on Saturday for their home opener of 2020-21 and would drop the dual meet by a score of 1-8 in front of the best crowd of the season.

The Spartans would capture #2 doubles team of Josh Husemann/Brady McIntyre would collect the Spartan victory in marathon match by an 8-6 margin over the Fighting Bees duo of Jacob Decker/James Boustead. In singles action it was all Fighting Bees after they swept the singles play. Zach Norman at #5 singles would be the final match of the afternoon after the pair squared off and would take a tie break to determine the winner which bounced in favor of SAU's Owen Steiger 7-6, 2-6, 10-7 final.

The match is the final scheduled men's tennis match of the fall 2020 season.
