University of Dubuque

Frankie Bakalars joined the track & field staff in August of 2022. 

In his first year with the Spartans, he coached 2 American Rivers Conference champion athletes and 2 NCAA Championships qualifiers in the high jump. 

As an athlete, Bakalars competed at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and was a 3-time all-conference athlete in the hammer throw and the weight throw and is currently 3rd all-time.
